Side assist
Thanks to two radar sensors at the rear of the vehicle, Side Assist detects vehicles that are approaching from behind or are in the blind spot via an LED signal on the exterior mirror housing. The Side Assist recognizes vehicles from a distance of up to 70m and warns you effectively of dangerous situations on motorways and two-lane roads.

Exit warning
The new safety feature is another of Side Assist's complementary functions. Exit Warning visually and acoustically warns you and other passengers when exiting a parallel parked car, if opening the door could result in a collision with another vehicle, cyclist or jogger. Exit Warning makes use of Side Assist's rear radar and monitors the area behind and along the sides of the car up to a distance of 35m.

Lane assists
Lane Assist is a system designed to keep the vehicle in its lane and, if necessary, alert the driver of an unintended lane change. The camera monitors the horizontal road marking, and the assistant intervenes in the steering to keep the vehicle inside its lane.

Rear view camera with park distance control
When reverse gear is engaged, the camera on the boot lid is activated and the image is shown on the infotainment system display. Park Distance Control assists you in parking in the tightest of spots by warning of the potential risk of collision with obstacles.
