Advanced electronic driving systems, which comprise ESP, including ABS, EBV, MSR, ASR, EDS, HBA, DSR and ESBS, have already become a standard part of Octavia accessories since the Classic version and provide a high level of protection for passengers and other participants in road traffic.

In the field of passive safety, the main innovation is the WOKS  front headrests, whose new shape better protects the cervical vertebrae of those travelling in the front seats during a rear impact. Airbags for the driver and front passenger, side airbags in the front and head airbags are a matter of course. The front passenger’s airbag can be deactivated if necessary.

ESP Stabilisation System

The ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) stabilizes cornering with the aim of eliminating any possibility of skidding. Part of the ESP is DSR (Driver Steering Recommendation), which secures conjunction between brakes and power steering.

Third headrest in the rear

The third headrest in the rear is one of many passive safety elements in the new Octavia. It significantly reduces the risk of head and neck injury to the passenger sitting in the middle seat.

ISOFIX preparations

Preparations for fixing child seats are found not only on the outer rear seats, but also on the front passenger’s seat. The ISOFIX system enables child seat to be fitted directly to the car’s body.

Seat belts with retractors

The three-point height-adjustable front seat belts with retractors are a necessary precondition of a safe drive. When the front airbags are activated, the rectractors virtually anchor you to the seat.
